(f) The balance should be written off as without charge, a Vote, *Loss on "tores* being taken for the purpose and credit afforded for what the stuff fetches on sale.

If the above recommendations are accepted it would soon

be possible to introduce a methodical Store procedure.

We have not gone into the question of maintaining priced ledgers, or the rules governing the return and acceptance of Stores from Works, as these questions are outside the reference made to us, but it seems to us desirable that if it does not already exist a Colonial Code giving uniformity of procedure in all Colonies should be issued by the Colonial Office..
